1987: North And South, the famous miniserie on the Civil War. Custer is portrayed on screen during the surrender of the Confederate army at Appomattox.

 

                                              

 1989 : Glory, with Denzel Washington. The look of Custer's officer Thomas French is used in the movie.

 

 1990 : Custer and Crazy Horse, miniserie with Wayne Mauder.

1991 : Le Fils de l'Etoile du Matin, by Mike Robe, with Gary Cole.

(Historical insights about the clip below: the two women Custer freed were Sarah White and Anna Morgan, and both were brutally treated by the Cheyennes. The chiefs were not "excuted" by the Whites as it is said in this clear perversion of history, but were killed after they tried to escape from jail. A squaw stabbed a soldier in the process.)
