L'hymne du 7e: GARRYOWEN!

Cette chanson irlandaise, choisie par Custer, est devenue l'hymne du 7e de cavalerie, et sa carte de visite. Dans la plupart des campagnes du régiment, une fanfare entamait cette musique avant la  charge.  On la retrouve dans tous les films dédiés au Boy General.

Aujourd'hui, les hommes du 7e de cavalerie continuent d'employer cette chanson comme hymne officiel du régiment (et même de la 1ère division toute entière). "GarryOwen !" est devenu un signe de ralliement et un cri de guerre.
